Spending good time reading
Hmm, this topic has been a problem to lots of people, generally to readers and specifically to students in this generation of social distraction from facebook and others. The social medias are meant to be used for our advantage, e.g the poets, check here, that's for poets.
So, let's discuss how to to spend our time judiciously reading.
First step is to have passion for what you want to read , because without you having the love to read, forcing yourself reading would lead to wasting your precious time. To gain this passion, you have to have interest in the book or article you want to read, because once you build the interest in the book, you would understand.
The next step is to plan. Planning simple means to stage your activities in a written right order. You need to make your plan early in the morning as you wake up after praying, as you would be following the plan throughout the day. So in the plan you would write the activities you want to do in that day including reading with the time you want to do them.
Obey your timing: You must be mindful of the time you put, as you have to assign more time to reading and less to playing. You must also obey your timing, as you must not add an extra minute to playing because you are enjoying the fun. This step requires discipline, so you have to obey and control yourself to read.
Now I hope you read.
Wait, the last step is to assess/evaluate your plan in order to know whether you followed your plan successfully, if you did not, then you can improve the next day. If you followed it well, bravo.
